Elaboration of the Engineering Design and Site Management.

TORRES Y SÁEZ DISTRIBUCIÓN analyzed, as part of its expansion policy, the possibility of opening new industrial premises in Barcelona, for the sale of professional ironmongery products. The sale was aimed especially at the building professionals, leaving the retail sale to a second plan.

For this purpose, it entrusted COTECNO with the elaboration of the Engineering Design and the Site Management for fitting out an existing building so as to meet both the legal and the functional conditions which were necessary for carrying out the activity.

The project was started from an existing building with a gross building area of 2.130 m² solved by means of a metallic framework with open porticos of 31 m and a top height of 15 m.

The building was reorganized according to its new destination, as follows:

• Storage on metallic shelves: 800 m².
• Storage of safety clothing: 35 m².
• Storage in plastic boxes: 346 m².
• Storage on shelves (storing space): 175 m².
• Merchandise exit area: 65 m².
• Client assistance area: 265 m².
• Office area: 60 m².
