BUFFER WAREHOUSE FOR LIDL SUPERMERCADOS IN NARÓN (A CORUÑA).

The company LIDL SUPERMERCADOS, S.A.U. builds in the Area Río do Pozo – Narón a Buffer Warehouse to attend all the shops belonging to the chain in the Communities of Galicia and Asturias and the Province of Leon. The warehouse follows the diagram of all the warehouses belonging to the Lidl chain in Europe. Thus, the structure of the warehouse is solved by a concrete structure with 15.20 m inter-axis arcades, with 10 m free storage height and 249.27 m total length on 121.72 m width.

The building has a built surface of 32281.70 m2, organized as follows:

  • The shelf area of 8303.01 m2, with a reception and dispatching space for the merchandise on each facade of the building and a central one dedicated to the shelf storage.
  • The high rotation area of 9373.04 m2 also divided in spaces for the reception and dispatching of the merchandise on each facade with an area of pallet storage in open spaces delimited by floor marks.
  • The cold stores area of 9373.04 m2 compartmented in several rooms depending on the storage temperature. It is also included a 1073 m2 freezing store. The installed power for the whole set of stores is of 548.56 Kw supplied by five compressor groups.
  • The waste area of 1018.75 m2 for storage and later withdrawal of the damaged merchandise or the one being returned from the shops.
  • Technical loft of 293.31 m2, where it is placed the entire machinery necessary for carrying out the activity, especially the cold equipments necessary for the functioning of the cold stores.
  • The office area of 737.70 m2 distributed on two storeys, which besides serving as an administrative centre for the functioning of the warehouse, is also used as the headquarters of the LIDL chain in Galicia.

Distributed between the two facades, there are placed 100 (one hundred) automatic loading bays to facilitate the merchandise distribution.

In order to provide the necessary electrical supply to the warehouse, it is installed a 1.250 Kva Transformation Centre and an 800 Kva Generator in the Technical Loft.
