LOCAL COUNCIL OF RIVEIRA.

Energy Audit.

In August 2010, the Local Council of Riveira entrusted COTECNO with the energy audit for the public illumination system of the local council. The works were part of the support programme of the Energy Institute of Galicia (INEGA) for energy saving and efficiency. The system included 7.700 illumination points with a total capacity of 1.162 kW.

The saving solutions proposed by the audit were the following:

• Optimization of contracts.
• Substitution of lamps.
• Installation of astronomical clocks.  
• Installation of flow stabilizers-reducers.
• Reactive Energy compensation.  

These measures lead to the following results:

• 68 kW saving in the total installed power.
• 654 hours per year saving in functioning time.
• More than 20% saving in energy consumption.
• 92.980 € per year savings.
