GALICIAN MINISTRY OF HEALTH – SERGAS

Elaboration of the Basic and Detailed Engineering Design and Site Management.

In the year 2007 COTECNO won the public tender organized by SERGAS, for the elaboration of the engineering design for fitting out the space for the GENOMIC MEDICINE DEPARTMENT OF THE CLINICAL HOSPITAL OF SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA.

The target project area was destined for laboratories and all the related function annexes; the intervention affected a surface of 1.500 m² on the second storey of the building “C” destined to external consulting, space which was out of use at the moment and had direct road access.

The Genomic Medicine Department includes the Administration, Genomic Medicine Laboratories and CEGEN Laboratories areas, with surfaces of approximately 189 m², 700 m² and respectively 339 m², besides their common spaces which include the toilets, the work spaces and circulation areas. These were designed so that each space would match the real function of laboratory services, establishing the right connections between the different investigation areas, which were provided with the necessary equipments according to their functional criteria.

SERGAS also entrusted COTECNO with the Project Management, Site Management and Occupational Health and Security Coordination.
