We initiate for MANGO the restoration of the "Great Garage" in Pontevedra.

The building of the Great Garage is the last trace of Modernism in Pontevedra, which in those times was emblematic for El Progreso Street, today’s Benito Corbal.

Built in 1915 in a sole one-level body, work of architect Limeses Artime, it stood out immediately due to its modernist façade design and colour.

In its 100 years of history, the building has always been connected to transportation. Erected on a land plot that had already been destined for a coach garage in the past, the new building was to be used as a carriage parking garage. This destination was kept until its closing a few years back.

În the summer of 2014, the building gates were closed, both of the garage and of the two small shops at the entrance, one selling toys and the other city souvenirs.

Once the restoration carried out by MANGO is completed, the new commercial use shall allow us to enjoy again this unique modern building.
