DÁRSENA DEPORTIVA DE LA CORUÑA, S.A., as concessionaire of the LA MARINA DOCKS and of the NEW DOCKS OF LA CORUÑA, undertook the investment regarding the facilities and equipments which allowed the exploitation of the docks as a marina.  

The mooring lines were made of pier access gangways, pier access stairs, handrails and auxiliary elements such as pilots, Grey girders, etc.

The solution was based on the execution of 9 floating pier lines secured by a system of sliding rings on 559 mm-diameter pilots, provided with water, fire prevention, electricity, lighting and buoying supplies, as well as escape ladders.

The vessels are 6 to 30 m-long, with drafts varying from 3.5 m at the La Marina Docks to 4.5 m at the New Docks of La Coruña.

The quality of the building materials was top priority, as a reference example there is the A42-b hot-galvanized ship-quality steel, A6005-T6 aluminium, the rot-proof tropical wood floors, EPDM elastomeric rubber fenders, etc., which provide the 353 mooring places with a high quality standard.
