MARINA FACILITIES IN OZA (A CORUÑA).

THE MARITIME CLUB “O PUNTAL” OF OZA.

Design Engineering and Site Management.

The Maritime Club “O Puntal” of Oza requested the building of a marina in the area, taking advantage of the natural sheltering conditions, of the beautiful landscape and the easy access both by land and by sea.

The already existing docks were used as a starting point for the project, which included the execution of 4 floating pier lines based on a system of sliding rings on 559 mm-diameter pilots, which sheltered a total of 237 mooring places of 6 x 2.60 m.

The piers were provided with electricity, lighting, buoying and potable water supplies. Their distribution was made by means of the existing technical galleries. Likewise, the electricity and water intakes were situated in the same service cabinets.

The gangway started from an H-30 concrete platform supported by a bank and it was provided with an access gate using a card-based opening system for individual user identification.

Later, due to the increasing demand for mooring places, there was executed a broadening of the marina by extending the existing pier lines and creating two new lines which were to shelter a total of 116 mooring places, 23 places of 3 x 2.60 m and 93 places of 8 x 3.60 m.
