PORT AUTHORITY OF A CORUÑA.

Elaboration of Engineering Design and Site Management.

The facilities are made of a symmetrical building with a net building area of 21.000 m2 and a gross building area of 31.500 m2.

The ground floor is organized in 8 exhibition and sale rooms connected through a longitudinal corridor ending into two rooms for storage of the sold fish before its being loaded into the trucks, which also allow the receiving of the fish that is brought in trucks from other markets or ports; and 48 storage rooms for the wholesalers, 2 rooms for the preparing of the remaining fish, one corridor for the fish to be auctioned, one room for its preparing and one for box washing.

The exhibition room temperature varies from 40C to 60C, and the corridor and ship-owner room temperature is 100C, which allows the complete fish transfer without breaking the „cold chain”.

The first floor accommodates the general services, electronic sales and the box storage.

The fish auction market has an electric power of 2.500 KW and a refrigerating power of 3.000.000 Kcal/h.
